The Challenge
Financial services company, Comerica Bank hosts Expectations Day, a global CEO Town Hall Meeting each year for its 2,000+ employees. The internal meeting is traditionally streamed, but with some degree of difficulty. This year, the production team was tasked with delivering a late-night talk show look and feel, however, the venue bandwidth was limited – potentially impacting the reliability and quality of the stream. A robust solution was needed to encode and push out the two-hour live stream so that the employees could watch and participate in the event.
The Solution
The Production team recounts the complexity of the live event with 4 cameras, a 40ft Jib, confidence monitors, wireless microphones, and remote guest being brought in virtually. Streaming Media Live, enterprise solution, MediaPlatform, and LiveU were brought in to give the customer a more robust and viable solution – everything from production to the user experience online. The multi-camera production was powered by the LU800 production-level field encoder, which transmitted the live content to MediaPlatform servers for distribution.
