Costel, LiveU’s reseller in El Salvador, achieved a milestone in presidential election coverage by conducting uninterrupted live broadcasting for 27 consecutive hours. This extraordinary feat took place during the coverage of the Voto Nación 2024 program.
The wide-ranging coverage, provided by LiveU and Costel, relied on LiveU’s EcoSystem of advanced IP-video solutions, enabling high-quality live broadcasting from thirty-six locations across the national territory, as well as from key polling centers in the United States, including Virginia, Houston, and Los Angeles. Additionally, over fifty mobile devices were incorporated through the LU-Smart application, further expanding the reach and diversity of coverage.
"In a year with numerous electoral processes in the region, LiveU offers flexible rental packages to address different project sizes and budgets, and along with our experienced local distributors, as demonstrated by Costel in El Salvador and LiveU’s support team, we have once again proven the success and cost reduction of planning events in advance," highlighted José Luis Reyes, Vice President of LiveU for Latin America.
To manage the vast flow of real-time signals from the Voto Nación 2024 transmission operation, twelve LU2000 4-channel servers were installed, ensuring smooth and reliable broadcasting during the continuous 27-hour programming.
The main event, Voto Nación 2024, commenced on Saturday, February 3, at 7:00 p.m. and concluded at 11:00 p.m. the following day, with a total duration of 27 hours of uninterrupted broadcasting.
