Video Pros Use LiveU Solo to Go LIVE from VidCon

Solo helps video movers and shakers live stream VidCon interviews and updates to social media and ushers in fan engagement from the show floor

Online video is exploding right now. With audience preferences shifting from linear TV to digital, videos are making their way into every interaction we’re making online. The next natural progression is to bring “live” into the mix. Video tastemakers, Shira Lazar of What’s Trending and live video software platform, Switcher, Inc. are doing just that by bringing live streaming to the forefront with exclusive live updates and interviews from VidCon, the largest online video conference in the U.S., using LiveU Solo.

LiveU Solo is the plug-and-play solution for live streaming to social media from LiveU, the leader in live video for broadcast TV and online markets for over 10 years. LiveU Solo provides online content creators with an affordable, easy to use, high-quality, and reliable live streaming solution.

“With over 30,000 attendees and millions watching from all over the world, VidCon is the place where content and technology converge. The rise of new storytelling formats makes live video a viable solution for content creators,” said Claudia Barbiero, LiveU VP of Marketing, Americas.

“Once content creators get their hands on LiveU Solo, they don’t have to worry about bandwidth or cellular congestion and can simply focus on fun and dynamic live online programming ideas that get them outside of the studio. We’re excited to see how What’s Trending, Switcher, Inc. and our other customers use Solo at the show.”

What’s Trending at VidCon
Shira Lazar, Co-Founder and Host of the live interactive daily show What’s Trending, will be live streaming from her VidCon studio to Facebook Live/YouTube. The VidCon special programming will include celebrity and influencer interviews to get their opinions on online video.

Switcher, Inc.
The software company will use LiveU technology and its flagship Switcher Studio platform to create a multi-cam original live programs including comedy/talk show “StreamSquad Live” hosted by Gossip Girl alum, Chase Crawford and Writer/Comedian, Joel Levinson and “Discovering Switcher” – a show where the hosts "accidentally" discover how to make their show using Switcher Studio software in real-time. Additionally, Switcher will conduct interviews with content creators Adorian Deck (Founder of OMGFacts), Danny Fratella (Operations for Social Blade), Suzie Nguyen (Founder of String Story), and Chris Strub (first person to live stream in all 50 states). Attendees can visit Switcher at Booth #1023 or check out their live broadcasts on their Facebook Page.
